In my own words
My goal is to help people understand that they have options and that there isn't a one size fits all solution to finding a caregiver. There are stages to caring for someone diagnosed with Alzheimers/Dementia.
I believe that the very best place for care is in the home whenever possible and we do everything we can to help facilitate that. Their home is that safe place, the place that feels most secure and familiar when the memory starts to fade. My personal approach is to get to know everything I can about my clients and the lives they’ve lived. I want to know their likes and hobbies. I encourage being outdoors if possible for walks and outings. I want to find the person they’ve always been and help them navigate their new normal without fear. Families should feel trust in the person providing everyday care for their loved one.
To me, "caregiver" is a simple word that describes a much larger skill. I understand that trust and peace of mind are vastly important when choosing the right care for your loved one and I am committed to providing the very best and safest care possible. I know first hand the difficulties families face when a loved one is diagnosed with a life changing disease like Alzheimer's/Dementia. There is so much information, but equally as much confusion about where to begin. You and your family are in need of help. Someone to help you navigate your way down the right path to ultimately finding the help you need in caring for your family member. Do I look for a caregiving agency to provide a caregiver? The local classifieds? Do I put them in a memory care facility? There's emotional stress and for many, a financial stress. I offer long term or short term with 24 hr care also available in your home, memory care home, assisted living and board and care homes. I also provide non medical end of life care working side by side with the hospice and/or palliative care of your choice.
As a private caregiver I’m able to provide better, more
personalized care going back to a time where a smile
or a hug and listening with a compassionate heart can
make someone's day or even change a life.
I was born in Long Beach, the youngest of 9 kids. I went
through 12 years of Catholic school, Community College, married, raised 3 kids and now have 4 amazing grandkids who are the center of my world 🤍
